Matt Hight - Graduate Student

Prior to joining the Su Lab in 2019, Matt studied chemistry with an emphasis in biochemistry and a minor in biology at California State University Channel Islands. There, he did research with Dr. Ahmed Awad on the synthesis of therapeutic nucleosides in addition to serving as the president of the Free Radicals chemistry club. Matt’s research interests lie primarily in synthesizing chemical tools useful for studying biology. When he somehow makes it outside the lab, Matt enjoys surfing, backpacking, and eating vegan junk food.
