Dr. Ernie Su, Adjunct research pawfessor

Dr. Ernie Su received his B.S. in Food Science at Ball State University. After wandering the streets of Merced for awhile, Ernie ultimately decided that higher education was his barking, and received his dogtorate degree from the University of Maryland–Baltimore County (Go Retrievers!). After much cajoling, Ernie resigned himself to joining his father in the family business and works part time in the Su Lab. Ernie’s current project involves a comparative analysis in the health benefits of rawhides versus bully sticks, though the participant size for this study is quite small (N = 1). In his spare time, Ernie straddles the line between lab clown and hall monitor – Ernie is often found cracking jokes at the water cooler and enforcing proper safety attire in the lab.
